An underutilized fitness room at Boston University’s Track and Tennis Center was transformed into a Neuromotor Recovery Laboratory, focusing on stroke patients. The lab includes an oval, walking track, recessed treadmill with harness support above and video technology as a means of recording a subject’s movements and progress. KSID is currently working with Dr. Awad to expand the lab.
The lab is a research and treatment center for recovering stroke victims. All aspects of the design were required to support both functions.
